Ye Olde Introduction Post(e?)

"It's best to start at the beginning." Lord know where that quote originates from, as the cluttered mass that is my brain is filled with all sorts of random quotes, memories, and images, but it helps set the mood. After all, this is the intro post, the post that explains the point of this blog. Sorta. Kinda. Maybe?

So my name is Chris and I'm a card-carrying nerd (with a Final Fantasy VIII wallet, mind you!) and this hunk of text will be my blog. This will be different from my Livejournal, for those who will dare to read both, as I will not bother you with the details of my life here (most of the time). Instead I will bitch about all sorts of pop-culture things that interest me, in hopes this blog will someday score me a free-lancing gig writing about comics, anime or video games or some such nonsense that pleases my inner-child. Hopefully, this will serve as proof that I can form sentences and amuse people with words.

I figured I start the actually blog next entry, so to kill the time between now and then, have some random facts about me, the guy who is writing what you are currently reading!
-I've previous written for Latest Issue Entertainment (www.lietv.com) as well as DVD Vision Japan (www.dvdvisionjapan.com), mostly about video games, and received absolutely no bank from either site, as they folded under their own stupidity. Hell, I'm not sure if either site is actually up and running, and anything I've written is even still posted there.
- Cosplay has gotten my mug posted on more websites and magazines more than anything I've ever written has. Sad but true. For a cheap laugh, hit up Cosplay.com and look for Starwind824. That's me with the day-glo hair and the unnaturally large wooden weapon. The tall one.
-AnarCHris is not some sort of political statement, LudaCHris was taken on X-box live, and I'm a Penny Arcade (www.penny-arcade.com) fan, so this tag is a hybrid of fandom and...my name, I guess. But it sounds cool to me, so that's all that matters.
-I've had a comic book in development FOREVER, but me and the art-monkey who's slated to draw it are SUPER lazy, so who knows when it will actually see the light of day. I've promised myself by the time I hit 30, if nothing of " Project:SCIENCE!" (that's the codename, not the actual title) doesn't see the light of day, I'm just going to fill Marvel's submission box with pitches I have for a Spider-Man/Deadpool mini-series.
-Looked up those sites I've written for several years ago!
http://www.lietv.com/Archives.htm
Nothing I've written is up there, which is fine, as it seems they've started interviewing porn stars, and I can't compete with Ron Jeremy. Interpret in any way you deem fit.

All of the games I've written about are still up and running here. Those tag lines are not my fault though, and I believe were written several years AFTER the articles were first published.
The more you know right?
